Daniel,
It's not too difficult to generate the classes, check out the following link ->
http://wiki.apache.org/ws/FrontPage/Axis/WritingYourClient
As I said I'll include the classes in the next release, just haven't had any time recently.

Hello, we would like to try your wrapper to get a bare bones java program running to get Betfair requests, but we don't have all the classes. You said you used axis to generate the classes. The axis looks like a major effort to install (we are using windows). Did you have to install the full apps with server etc? Please explain a simple way to get the libraries or as you said above can you supply them? Thanks

Martin,
I'll look to include the betfair classes in my next release.
I would like to try your wrapper but you didnt include the betfair classes in your archive and I never used axis before. Is it possible to include those classes in the archive too?
Thanks in advance!
Well I've coompleted the first version of the BetfairWrapper. You can download it from here -> Betfair Wrapper
The idea of the wrapper is to remove the need for maintaining session info etc. whilst interracting with the API. Simply instantiate the wrapper, login and away you go. It's written in Java and I used Axis to generate the Betfair classes. At the moment it's fairly basic but in future releases expect a bit more. I've released it to see what sort of feedback I get.
Currently it supports all the read functions of the FreeAPI (I'm not earning enough gambling just yet to get the full api!):
Documentation is fairly sparse I'm afraid so you'll just have to dig in to the code and see how to use it. I've included a unit test in the main method which makes a call to all the available methods which should giveyou an idea of how it's used.
To update on how I'm getting on with the tools. Version 1 of the Betfair API wrapper is complete. I'll be posting it here shortly. I've also been trawling various book makers to see which ones have XML feeds that I can use to incorporate into my SportsML work. Some do, some don't, I'll post a full list when I get responses from them all (some are very slow!).
For a long time I've wanted to use my background in Computer Science to build something that I could use to make money in the gambling world. Ultimately I would like to build the most comprehensive gamblers database with statistics, odds everything in it that can be utilised by anybody who wishes. That would then be the basis for any tools I build. With that said lets begin :)
First off I've been developing a Java wrapper for the Betfair API. Betfair is probably the best place to begin for collecting odds and market information. Once that is complete I intend to build a database based on SportsML (http://www.sportsml.com), and feed the information from betfair in there along with some statistics from various sources on the net.
Alot of stuff to do, so I'd best kick off! Watch this space.
